oh yeah also, i talked on the phone to my roomie.  she's from montana.  yeehaw!  just kidding, she doesn't ride horses.

oh and i get to go to ft. lauderdale on a training trip this winter with my ups swim team!!!

i'm tired

today i went to my first a's game!!! and they WON!!!!!!! hooray!!!  It was so cool and I got a rootbeer float which was like twice as big as everyone else's because she put in like a cup of ice cream, so i had to go back to get more root beer, and it was like the best thing ever except that it was gone soon. 

also today i had my first actually fun swim team potluck.  that is quite an achievement for those of you who don't know my team.  we got in a water fight, and got jodie all soaked, and then people kept finding pitchers and buckets and things, to throw water with, so eventually we just jumped in the water and were still the same amount of wetness.  and i did a flip off the diving board with my clothes on.  yay!  so we like team bonded even though two of my friends weren't there and half the team (the boys) were off playing basketball.  Too bad for them!ha ha ha ha ha. 

scrapbooking is hard.  i need to get pictures so i can start.

it's also hard getting up at 7 during the summer for class.

hi people.  and future me if i ever read this.  i am sad because a momentous occasion was occasioned a long time ago, even though i am just writing about it now because that is what i do.  the occasion is that jenny deleted her xanga.  this is very momentous because she is like the asianmost of all of us and if she deleted her xanga, then what in hell am i doing on it?  i think the world is coming to an end.  let us all share a moment of silence for the world.  lalala i am humming in  my head during my moment of silence.  dang. 

now, back to the present -

no more high school!  weeeee!  shopping for college!  weeeee!  leaving in mid august for a college i am not looking forward too, which will prevent me from seeing my cat, family, friends, and swim team until november!   not weeeee.

this morning, after a hellish experience of delays and plane problems with nirthwest airlines, i got back from my first expedition to california. There were 26 of us who went, part of the albion college environmental institute. what an amazing place!We spent all of our time in central california, from the redwoods, to yosemite, to mono lake and june lake on the east side of the sierras, and everything in between. The theme was environmental issues, so we visited places like hetch hetchy, and the fisheries lab in santa cruz. UC Santa Cruz has a beautiful campus and a great environmental program... grad school???

 Amy, how did you go to Canada by mistake? just wondering.  And that's
really cool that you  are going back to ONP!  when are you there till?
 because I am coming to Tacoma around August 19th or before.  As for
me, I am trying to find a summer job around here that will let me take
off at 4:30 every day for swimming.  I  might apply for these ones in
the newspaper ads that are like, "Summer job!  Save the environment!"
Sounds good, eh?  And I got a package from UPS today that says I have
to read the Odyssey over the summer too!

 i bet you've been to half of the places we went to. but santa cruz and mono lake were the best, even though the boardwalk has an insane amount of people. campus is nice- i might look there for grad school though.

No, Samantha, I do not do the magical mushrooms. 

I'm bored.  Make me finish my scholarship applications so I  can go shopping!!!  The only good thing is that yesterday was my brother's b-day so today we are making mud pie (its not _actually_ made of mud.  It has oreo crust (or in our case joe joes), and chocolate ice cream and hot fudge sauce and lots of other good stuff that makes it look SO GOOD!).  And... I didn't get into Pomona.  Which means I really won't get into Brown.  Which makes me saaaad.    And not Harvard or Stanford either, not that I want to go to those two.  Now I will probably have to go to a UC instead of Brown.     Got in: SF State, U Washington, U. Puget Sound, SC, SB, LA, SD, Scripps.                   Not Sure: Cal, Stanford, Harvard, Brown                                                                               Not got in: Pomona

I ate 1/6 a gallon of ice cream on the weekend.  me fato.
