| Hi everyone. I'm going to UPS. Not United Parcel Service, University of Puget Sound, of course! I'm a logger now. NOooooooo. I will tell you my story that I have told everyone else I know in case you haven't heard it yet. Actually, I will just copy the e-mails here so you can see it.
JOHN CAWOOD:
wut up peeps I'm glad it sounds like everything is going well for everyone. I miss washington a lot too, but it seems like you all share my attitude that it just keeps getting better!(GO LOGGERS)
this morning, after a hellish experience of delays and plane problems with nirthwest airlines, i got back from my first expedition to california. There were 26 of us who went, part of the albion college environmental institute. what an amazing place! We spent all of our time in central california, from the redwoods, to yosemite, to mono lake and june lake on the east side of the sierras, and everything in between. The theme was environmental issues, so we visited places like hetch hetchy, and the fisheries lab in santa cruz. UC Santa Cruz has a beautiful campus and a great environmental program... grad school???
ERICA P.:
hey when were you in santa cruz??? because i was there on thursday! from erica.
JOHN CAWOOD:
hahahahahahah SO WAS I!!!!!!!how ironic. i was playing volleyebal on the boardwalk for most of the afternoon
ERICA P.:
JOHN. NO WAY!!! you are so annoying why didn't you tell me??? I was at the boardwalk too and i didn't see you at all!!! um, as a reminder, I LIVE IN CALIFORNIA so tell me when you are here. aaaah. AAAAH!!! i also went on firebolt and hurricane and they are so fun. did you go to the mexican restaurant across the street? i think you would like the giant burrito - its like a foot and a half long.
Hi everyone else, I decided to send you this email so you could see how sad that is. also, daniell, anneke, and amy, your experiences over there in your respective states and country (ies?) sound amazing!!! i am so glad you are having those wonderful opportunities. Amy, how did you go to Canada by mistake? just wondering. And that's really cool that you are going back to ONP! when are you there till? because I am coming to Tacoma around August 19th or before. As for me, I am trying to find a summer job around here that will let me take off at 4:30 every day for swimming. I might apply for these ones in the newspaper ads that are like, "Summer job! Save the environment!" Sounds good, eh? And I got a package from UPS today that says I have to read the Odyssey over the summer too!
JOHN CAWOOD (the third, in case i forgot to mention!)
hey now. easy. i sent you an email on april 29th telling you about it, cuz i thought you might like to catch up with us at some point. it had our itinerary in it too. check your emails. its there. but if you want to see some of my pictures go to: http://community.webshots.com/user/msu1final4 i bet you've been to half of the places we went to. but santa cruz and mono lake were the best, even though the boardwalk has an insane amount of people. campus is nice- i might look there for grad school though. go loggers, john
its so ironic.
I broke my sunglasses! I'm SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD!!!!!!! |
